Martin Storksdieck is a professor at Oregon State University, where he directs the STEM Research Center. The Center is dedicated to applied teaching and learning research in STEM education in schools, colleges and universities, as well as science communication and outreach. Previously, he led the STEM Education Division at the US National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC, and was Director of Project Development and Director of Research at the Institute for Learning Innovation in Maryland. Professor Storksdieck is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education (IPN Kiel) and the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Storksdieck holds a degree in biology, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University and a doctorate in environmental communication from Leuphana University in Lüneburg.
